Last updated: 11 June 2026

These terms govern the booking and rental of bikes through staybybike.com, offered by Staybybike S.L..

1. Purpose

The service consists of renting bikes for pickup at partner hotels. Booking is done online and pickup takes place at the relevant hotel’s reception using a PIN code.

2. Booking process

To book, the user must provide their name, phone and email, as well as an image of their ID document or passport for verification. The bike is only reserved once payment is confirmed.

3. Prices and taxes

Prices are shown per day and per bike, with applicable taxes included. The total amount is calculated based on the number of days and bikes selected.

4. Payment and deposit

Payment is made online through a secure gateway. In addition to the rental amount, a hold is placed as a deposit, which is released in full once the bike is correctly returned on time and in good condition.

5. Cancellation policy

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours before pickup time: 100% refund of the rental.
  • Cancellation less than 24 hours before pickup: 60% refund of the rental (40% retained).
  • Cancellation on the day of pickup: no refund of the rental.
  • In all cases, the deposit is released in full.

6. Use of the bike and return

The bike must be returned on the indicated date and time and in the same condition in which it was delivered. The return is made before the deadline on the last day of the rental.

7. Late or damage surcharges

Late return, loss, theft due to negligence or damage not arising from normal use may give rise to surcharges, applied against the retained deposit and, where appropriate, against the amount corresponding to the extent of the damage.

8. User responsibility

The user is responsible for the bike during the rental period and undertakes to ride in compliance with applicable traffic and road-safety rules.

9. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article 103(l) of the Spanish consumer protection law (TRLGDCU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to rental services with a specific date or period of performance. Cancellation is governed by the policy set out in section 5.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. In the event of a dispute, and where the user is a consumer, the Courts of the user’s domicile shall have jurisdiction.
